Weston Stud. Quality Welsh Mountain Ponies.

Weston Stud was started by my father Mr John Edwards in 1957 and was continued by us when my parents emigrated to Australia in 1979. It has been our aim to breed ponies of true Welsh Mountain type, with quality, substance, movement and temperament. Our ponies have and continue to give us enormous pleasure.

Our ponies have all been bred from two mares. Revel Confetti was purchased as a foal at Fayre Oaks Sale in 1969 and the majority of our ponies are bred from her and her progeny. Two of her daughters Weston Unique and Weston Little Model were Supreme Champion Section A's at the Royal of England in 1978 and 1981 respectively. Dyrin Lucy Lee was purchased as a foal at Hay-on-Wye Sale in 1988 and she remains at the stud, together with some of her progeny.

The current stud stallion is Idyllic Idris purchased as a foal at Fayre Oaks Sale 2003.
Cwmhendy Buster has been leased for the early part of the season from 2002- 2006 from Mr & Mrs Parry Brynrodyn Stud.

Ponies from the stud have been exported to Germany Holland Sweden Canada And Australia.
Due to work and family commitments we regret that ponies are rarely shown.
